Bangkok Counselling Service  

Bangkok Counselling Service Co., Ltd. (BCS) is Thailand’s first registered company established in 2008, to provide counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, young people, and groups. BCS has met all legal requirements for running a business in Thailand and all documentation is on display at our registered office. BCS works to legislation governing mental health services as outlined in the Thai mental health act. Each therapist works to the criteria, and requirements of  their accrediating /licenceing body.  As a company we work to the code of good practice of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy.

Now in our 14th successful year of operation, Bangkok Counselling Service continues to grow. Sala Som is a comfortable safe space tucked away behind Empire Tower in the heart of the city and minutes away from the Chong Nosi BTS and BRT stations. Click here to open a map showing our location.  

Bangkok Counselling Service launched our Young Peoples Wellbeing Project in April 2012 set up and designed to meet the needs of young people aged 11 - 18 years. The project has 3 elements:

1. Individual Wellbeing
     1 to 1 support for young people aged 11 to 18 years.

2. Wellbeing Family Work
     Available to young people and their whole family and

3. Wellbeing Group Work

Developed for schools and includes psycho-educational 
workshops and group-work sessions developed for each year group and tailored to the specific needs of each school/ group.

Bangkok Counselling Service launched the Thai Emotional Support Service in April 2013. For some people counselling and psychotherapy may seem rigid and formal and not open to difference.  BCS Thai Emotional Support Service holds Buddhist principles and awareness at its center as a tool to support Thai clients that wish to access this form of support. This service has more flexibility build into it while maintaining the most important elements of traditional counselling, including confidentiality, clear boundaries, and the therapeutic alliance between therapist and client.
