Our therapist, Saranya Tonmat LMSW is a licensed social worker, registered under the Thailand Association of Social Workers (TASW). She joins Bangkok Counselling Service as a Young People’s Counsellor and is part of the Young People Wellbeing Project. She works with those aged 11 years to 21 years in both English and Thai. In addition, Saranya is a social worker at the Ministry of Justice, Thailand.

Saranya has extensive experience working with this age group to address difficult challenges that arise as they transition into adulthood. She specializes in helping young clients who struggle with family issues, anxiety and depression, trauma, behavioral problems, ADHD, mood concerns as well as work and academic stress. Saranya is interested in working with those who need support around relationship issues, change and adjustment, and any type of trauma. Saranya’s approach to counselling is client-centered, and collaborative. Her practice is rooted in Family Systems Theory and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and she works well with trauma.
