Our Therapist Nawapat Chuatai joins Bangkok Counselling Service as a Counsellor (Thai) and is part of the Thai Emotional Support Team. Nawapat is experienced in working with Trauma and will lead on working with Trauma and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy.
Nawapat was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Silpakorn University, he apprenticed at Tulakan Chaloem Phrakiat Hospital. He went on to Chulalongkorn University where he received a Master of Science in Mental Health, and he apprenticed at the psychiatric IPD ward, of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital.
Nawapat received a scholarship from the EMDR Association of Thailand to undertake EMDR Therapy Training.
Nawapat is interested in working with clients who have experienced trauma such as those with PTSD, those subjected to violence and or abuse as adults or in childhood, grief and loss, or experiences that cause fear or phobias. He also works well with clients who would like to regulate their mood, that have depression, anxiety, stress, or want support to manage emotions such as fear, anger or frustration.
Nawapat uses guided imagery and stabilization techniques drawn from EMDR Therapy with clients to support their wellbeing.
